Announcing the Ruby5 Podcast

8.13.09 by Gregg Pollack

ruby5-itunes-logoToday I have the pleasure of announcing Envy Lab’s first Podcast, Ruby5.  Ruby5 is a 5 minute twice-weekly audio podcast that aims to bring you the latest news from the Ruby and Rails community.  I’ve learned a great deal about Podcasting over the past year, and it’s great to have another opportunity to build something new.

I also have to give mad props to Nathaniel Bibler for helping put together the homepage for Ruby5 which gives listeners a dashboard which allows them to listen and give feedback about each story as it plays. I was always surprised at how many people listened to the Rails Envy Podcast right there on the page, so I’m hoping this will encourage listeners to start a dialogue about each story.  We shall see how it goes.

If you have any feedback about the cast, feel free to leave a comment here or on the podcast page here.

  1. It was 29 seconds over!

  2. ROFL, can we still consider it 5 if we stay under 6 minutes? Please ;-)

The main stories ended before it was 5 minutes. If that makes any difference.

Great work Envy Labs! Missing Jason like nothing else though! ;)
